Almost 260,000 ha have already been burnt in the EU since January 2023. Critical fires have spread in Italy, Algeria, Tunisia, and Greece causing human casualties and massive environmental and economic damage, according to the monitoring reports of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) through the European Forest Fire Information System in the EU\u2019s Copernicus Emergency Management Service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">ESReDA sheds light in the Newsletter on the EU&#8217;s efforts in reinforcing its Wildfire Risk Management process across Europe.
